Legal · OMICS4 addendum
Last updated: July 2026 · Draft, pending legal review
Internal note, not part of the published legal text: this page is a working draft prepared by the team. It has not been reviewed by qualified legal counsel and should not be treated as final, linked publicly, or relied upon until reviewed and approved. Fields marked [TBD] still need a business decision (exact percentages, timeframes) before this can go live.
This addendum supplements GenXMap's general Terms & Conditions and applies specifically to bookings made through OMICS4: Single-Omics platforms, Multi-Omics packages, Combo platforms delivered jointly with a named partner, and Scientific Scoping sessions. Where this addendum and the general Terms & Conditions conflict on a matter specific to platform bookings, this addendum governs. Any signed quote, statement of work or service agreement takes precedence over both.
Submitting a booking request through OMICS4 (online or by contacting our team) reserves a provisional slot only. A slot is confirmed only once the required deposit has been received. Until the deposit is received, GenXMap may release the provisional slot to another client without notice.
For Scientific Scoping sessions specifically: this is a paid, standalone service. If the project scoped is subsequently booked with GenXMap, the scoping fee may be credited toward it. This is assessed case by case and confirmed in writing when the scoping session is booked, not applied automatically.
The client is responsible for:
GenXMap is responsible for documented chain-of-custody handling from the point samples are received, following the protocols described in the Sample Submission Guidelines. Some protocols are destructive or consume the entire sample; where relevant, this is disclosed before processing begins. Any unused sample material is retained or disposed of per [TBD: GenXMap's standard sample retention/disposal policy], unless the client requests return of remaining material (subject to shipping arrangements and cost).
Results are generated and reported against the documented protocol and QC metrics stated for the platform booked. GenXMap does not guarantee a specific biological outcome (for example, a specific yield, library complexity or variant call) beyond meeting the stated QC thresholds for the service delivered; results depend in part on sample quality supplied by the client.
As stated in the general Terms & Conditions, results and reports are provided for research and informational purposes. They are not medical, diagnostic or clinical advice, and any research, clinical or regulatory use of results is the client's responsibility to validate independently. To the extent permitted by law, GenXMap's liability for a platform booking is limited to the fees paid for that specific service.
Where a Combo platform is delivered jointly with a named academic or industry partner, that partner may have its own terms governing the portion of work it performs (for example, equipment usage rules or its own sample handling requirements). Any such partner-specific terms will be communicated to the client separately before the engagement begins and, where they add requirements beyond this addendum, those additional requirements apply alongside it.
Turnaround times shown on the Site or in a quote are indicative estimates based on typical queue and protocol duration, not a contractual delivery date, unless a specific date is confirmed in a signed quote or service agreement.
This addendum is governed by French law, in line with Section 8 of the general Terms & Conditions. Questions about a booking can be sent to contact@omics4.com or +33 7 69 44 16 18 or +33 4 13 73 24 81.
