Extracellular vesicles
Isolation, characterization and downstream omics on EV cargo, run in-house at OMICS4. One protocol chosen for your matrix and your downstream assay, rather than a single method applied to everything.
We run three isolation routes:
They do not yield the same preparation. Ultracentrifugation buys purity at the cost of yield and hands-on time. Precipitation buys yield and speed at the cost of co-isolated material. Size-exclusion preserves vesicle integrity and suits downstream functional work. The choice follows your matrix and what you intend to do next, and the method used is stated in the report.
Nanoparticle tracking analysis for concentration and size distribution, and marker validation by Western blot.
This step is not optional. An EV preparation without a concentration, a size distribution and a marker check cannot be compared with anyone else's, including your own from last year.
RNA and protein profiling of EV cargo for biomarker discovery, run on the same samples and reported together with the isolation and characterization data. Downstream sequencing uses our transcriptomics platform, protein work our proteomics service.
The starting matrix drives everything: volume, pre-clearing, and which isolation route is even possible. Collection and storage conditions are on the sample collection protocols page.
Tell us your matrix, your volume and your downstream assay, and we will scope the isolation route with you.
